Food Processing Plant

Retort

A hot climate country like India, where supply of uninterrupted power can be a major issue, retort technology provides the most suitable solution to extend the shelf-life of food and prevent its spoilage.

A careful selection of retort technology is essential for success in the production of retorted food which retains its originality. Our collaborator for retorts, LAGARDE AUTOCLAVES of France is a World leader in the production of different types of batch retorts, viz. Steam and Air with forced circulation, Hot Water treatment and Full Water Immersion. These retorts are in various sizes and can be static, pendulum or rotary.

Critical factors, such as the type of food, the container in which it is packed, processing costs duration of time food should be exposed to heat, etc. are studied by us to recommend the most suitable type of a retort to our customers. The customer has a choice of selecting the retorts that suits his application the most.

High Barrier Packaging

The packaging material plays a very important role in preserving the food after it is retorted. Attractive presentation, economics, ability to withstand high thermal processing temperatures and convenience in use are the other important factors in the selection of a suitable packaging medium for retorted food.

We provide the retort packaging material of our European associates. The retort containers can be plastic cups, trays, pots, jar, etc. As well as sealing film. The packaging material has high barrier properties against oxygen and moisture, has high puncture resistance and good chemical resistance with very good transparency.
